One of the rarest and most unique guitars in the entire Bacchus master-built lineup – crafted from a single piece of ancient Japanese Akamatsu.

This instrument comes from Bacchus’ ultra-limited bi-annual master luthier showcase, where each guitar is individually assigned to select dealers through an application process. Hand-crafted start-to-finish in Nagano, this CONTINENTAL Akamatsu WSE’25/R represents the pinnacle of traditional Japanese luthiery, materials, and finesse.

A single-piece Akamatsu body – a tonewood steeped in Japanese history

Akamatsu (Japanese red pine) is highly prized in Japanese instrument making for its resonance, lightness, and shimmering upper harmonics. This guitar features:

• A one-piece Akamatsu body, extraordinarily rare in modern boutique building.

• A GT-Aged finish, giving the guitar a rich, broken-in look and feel while preserving the clarity of a lacquer topcoat.

• Master-voiced Bacchus Mini Humbuckers, delivering sparkle, chime, and punch with a sweetness reminiscent of vintage gold-foil-meets-Firebird tones.

The maple neck / Indian rosewood fingerboard pairing adds snap and balance, while the GOTOH hardware ensures rock-solid tuning and accurate intonation.
